Measuring guide
Seven measurements,
ten minutes
Take these once, keep them, and every blouse we cut for you will fit. A stylist will check them on a call before anything is cut. Nobody is left guessing.
Take them over a fitted top, not over a blouse
-
I
Bust
Around the fullest part, tape level and not pulled tight. Keep a finger’s width of ease.
-
II
Waist
At the narrowest point, usually just above the navel. This sets where the blouse ends.
-
III
Shoulder
Bone to bone across the back. The most common measurement people guess wrong.
-
IV
Armhole
Around the arm at the socket, with the arm relaxed at your side.
-
V
Sleeve length
From the shoulder bone down the outside of the arm to where you want it to stop.
-
VI
Blouse length
From the shoulder bone straight down the front to the hem you want.
-
VII
Front neck depth
From the hollow of the throat down to where the neckline should sit.
Rather not measure yourself?
A stylist will do it on a call
Thirty minutes on video, a tape and a friend to hold it. We take the seven measurements with you and store them against your account so the next blouse needs no conversation at all.
